Graduitus Certificandum

yezzzzzzzzzz!!!!! certified graduate na ko!!! hahaha!ÜÜ

i know, i know... i graduated waaaaay back March 2001 pa... pero it's just yesterday that I got the chance to pass by UST Regustrar's Office to claim my long-archive-deposited diploma... hahaha!!!

as the old man on the counter said: "Miss de Vera, CONGRATULATIONS, you are now a graduate." hahaha!!! oo nga... wagi!!!ÜÜ kudos! kudos! hahaha!Ü

but i still haven't had the chance to spare time and get my yearbook from the Publishing House... at least the official copy of my transcript will be ready for pick-up after 7 days! wooohoooo!!ÜÜÜ

The Dynasty Ends Here

Aimee, PLEASE don't make this the title of your web article... I'd rather have Xavier School Settles for Second! hahaha!!! pero trulyly, mas gusto ko yung title kapag nanalo tayo: Twice To Beat, Twice Beaten... hahaha!!!! oh well, pero what really happened was twice to beat, once beaten... at least dabbaz, we did not just hand over this year's champ title to Claret... nahirapan din sila, in fairview park!!!ÜÜÜ and syempre, may next year pa! we'll get it back! yezzzzzz, yebbah, yebbah, super fight na fight ang spirit ko! hahaha!

no denying, Claret is really good... with plusses of formal training and a homecourt advantage for the second game... they deserve naman to win... pero we did not deserve to lose... hahaha! just joking!!! personally, i feel that they deserve to get the title... we gave a good fight for it... they just did better... di rin ako masyado sad about how things turned out to be kasi i gave my all during that game... wala na akong maipipiga pang powers... my efforts might not be as well as the first championship game's (alam ko naman yun...Ü) but it was my best that night... i believe it was ALL our best...

i cried tears of mixed emotions that night... i was sad because we are not the champs anymore (2nd place naman!Ü) -- we were the champs for THREE STRAIGHT YEARS, how hard for us to let go... at the same time naman, i was also happy because i realized how much the Xavier Community and my personal friends support us... support me... how i realized that friends and family are more important than awards and trophies... (awww... kaka-tats!)... when i was crying after that deciding game, i am certain about NOT being disappointed... nahuthot na nga game lahat ng efforts ko, lahat ng efforts namin kaya wala na kaming pwede pang sisihin... hahaha!ÜÜ

i like what Tess told me when i texted her... she replied saying, "Congrats din. I guess we can't win them all. They played really well." o dabbah??? coming from a diyosa über-galing volleyball player and team captain like her... it means so much... oo nga naman... naka-tatlo na kame... i-share naman namin sa iba... pero don't worry next year ulit... or next tournament... tayo ulit yun... i believe Miriam's invitational tournament would push through... basta ha, kung kelan man yun, kita-kits!ÜÜÜ

FOR NOVEMBER 12, 2004:

WELCOME BACK, KUYA JEPJEP!!!!!ÜÜÜ and oo nga, condolence po...

Jep's my classmate back in college (yuck, parang ang layo na non!üü hahaha!)... he went home last Tuesday, 9 November, to pay his last respects to his grandma whom they lost to cancer (yata)... for wednesday and thursday we attempted to make plans for the class's reunion pero di talaga natuloy... alas, Friday na and Harbie texted everybody else na tuloy ang welcome-cum-despedida-again-dinner for Jep at Ebun sa Greenbelt 3...

Many were there pero sana mas marami pa... si Jonas and ako nga humabol lang eh... pati si Aget na galing pang Batangas... anyways, the people present were: Geri and her new jowa (di ko ma-recall yung name mo... sorry...), Ria and her jowa (sorry, pare, can't recall your name either... pathetic! hahaha!ü), me and Jonas, Harbo, Jeff (ang taba mo na!ü), Juvs, Heids, Celina, Jacq, Andre, Aget and op cors, Kuya Jepitow... all the rest (naman!) were not there... hahaha!

after eating at Ebun... we thought of going to Eastwood para mag-bar pero dahil maraming taga-Maynila (hay naku, hay naku... hahaha!) we went to Pier One in Fort Strip na lang... anyways again, here are the pics... pagpasensyahan nyo na, mukhang yung date stamp (dater) eh hindi na nai-adjust... hahahaha!üü

One GOOD God

speechless until now... speechless in the sense that there are no enough words to express how i feel right now...

how i want to shout to the whole world that the fight is still on, the battle is not over... how i want to kneel and weep and truly thank the ONE GOOD GOD for keeping the group as we really are -- a team... for keeping our faith strong, our humility intact, our composure endure, our presence of mind undisturbed and our love for the game persist!

hay, first set pa lang ang nakukuha namin parang yung championship na yung napanalunan namin sa lakas ng sigaw at sa taas ng mga talon... when the game ended, grabe! halos dumagundong ang gym sa sigawan namin and sa cheer ng ever supportive Xavier Community... (thanks so much, guys!!! we would not have endured those five grueling sets kung wala kayo...) bg (ganto kasi yun): twice to beat ang claret kaya we are so happy for this victory because God gave us a chance to have a truly do-or-die bout for this long sought-after title... grabe... wala lang... wow, still speechless...

Actually this started late night of October 16... kasi nga may painom blowout 'tong si birthday boy Martin... as almost all of our inuman gimiks are, inabot 'to ng kinabukasan...

alam ko rin naman na way past katatakutan days of maligno, multo & all... but here, grabe... pang Passion of the Christ ang pangingilabot mo! hahaha!

here's the sleeping coz uber-lasheng Natilus in what I would really describe as Stampita Material... pwede ring Mass Card... hahaha!

Setting: Starbucks (yung sala sa gitna ng garden, sa tabi ng kiddie pool) sa Cathedral Grounds... wee hours in the morning...
